IT Test Engineer at WesBank

Role Purpose

To facilitate and execute non-functional related testing procedures including security performance and automation

Responsibilities

• Understand Performance Testing requirements
• Analyzing business scenarios
• writing scripts in LoadRunner/Jmeter
• Designing and creating test scripts – Front-end and API
• Designing workload modules
• Executing performance tests
• Using consistent metrics for monitoring
• Identifying bottlenecks, and where they occur
• Interpret results and graphs
• Identify suggestions for performance tuning
• Preparing test reports

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum Qualification - Grade 12 and Technical Testing certification

Experience

• 3+ years Performance testing experience
• Experience in software development languages necessary for tool scripting
• Ability to debug
• SQL Knowledge required
• API/Webservices Knowledge required
• Performance testing knowledge basics (baseline, load, stress testing)
• Analyze system usage from test results (identify memory leaks, connection issues, bottlenecks, etc.)
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Experience in JIRA, and Confluence a plus.
