JOB DESCRIPTION: Merchandise/ Jewellery Planner

General Description

Shimansky Jewellers is looking for an experienced Merchandise/Jewellery Planner to join their Merchandise Department. The ideal candidate will have experience in the jewellery industry.

Requirements

• Matric and a tertiary qualification. (Certificate, Diploma
• Minimum 3 years’ merchandise experience
• Computer literacy, Strong MS Office skills, advanced Excel skills
• Previous experience with Point of Sale (POS) systems
• Previous experience in Jewellery Industry will be advantageous

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all queries regarding stock, pricing and quality of merchandise.
• Communicate regularly and consistently with stores and factories
• General data entry work
• Responsible for quality control of all stock
• Loading new stock onto the database
• Replenishing stock based on reporting and sales
• Jewellery planning-Receive, record and delegate customer jobs to the Goldsmith team
• Issue metals (gold, silver and platinum) and findings to workshop
• Sourcing of all diamonds and metals.
