• The Junior Accountant will support the finance team by performing a variety of financial and accounting tasks. This role involves assisting with bookkeeping, managing accounts, reconciling financial data, and supporting the preparation of financial reports. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, be comfortable working with numbers, and possess a basic understanding of accounting principles. 

Responsibilities

• CIPC 
• Site recons/cashflow
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets.
• Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Prepare journal entries and assist with account reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
• Assist with the preparation of tax filings and reports.
• Provide support during audits and liaise with auditors as necessary.
• Assist in the management of cash flow and bank reconciliations.
• Perform other accounting tasks as assigned by senior staff

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• 0-2 years of accounting experience (internships or part-time roles will be considered).
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• CIPC Knowledge - Advantageous
