You will have full responsibility working on two brands and landing some amazing end-to-end campaigns and new innovative products.
The main job to be done is to develop and implement a long-term strategic plan that will advance the Hair and Beauty industry in South Africa by leading the core need of Inclusivity.
This role requires someone with a strong Digital background (Websites, Social, Search and ecommerce) and who understands and follows trending topics (Hairstyles, fashion, Beauty, etc) in the industry.
This is a direct docking brand management role for South Africa with Global teams and launching exciting locally and globally led innovations and plans.
Experience in the Beauty industry would be beneficial.
Job Summary
Keeping up to date with hair trends, to lead relevant content creation to drive engagement
Defining, designing, and implementing the 8Qtr plan and Destination Portfolio
Defining the Brand’s JTBD (Jobs-to-be-done)
Developing Inspiring brand communications
Leadership of Innovation Projects – e.g. development of new mixes / launch into new categories etc.
Leadership of Activity Requests: e.g. introduction of new pack sizes / formats for existing mixes
Leadership of “Lift & Shift” Projects: e.g. liaising with global teams to source and launch existing mixes with minimal adaptation into SA
Defining / Updating the Brand Strategic Plan
Leading Integrated Business Plan processes for your brands
Management of Sales & Operations and your P&L
Partnering with Customer & Channel Development & SM to deliver the in- year brand plan
Creation & Management of Brand’s digital strategy and plan with Strategic & Digital Agency
Monthly Brand & Marketing Investment (planning/phasing) & Media plan Management
Stakeholder engagement
Key relationships: Customer Development, Shopper Marketing, Supply Chain, Procurement, Consumer Market Insight, Research & Development, Finance Business Partners & Global and Local teams where relevant, Strategic Agencies as well as activation partners
Key Requirements
Relevant Marketing Degree
3 - 5 years of relevant marketing experience.
Able to run multiple complex innovation projects
Able to lead cross functional teams
Digital marketing capability
Agility – “Lean start up mind-set”
Strong numerical reasoning ability
Consumer and customer focus – curiosity, ability to uncover relevant insights and translate these into ACTION
