Junior Revenue Accountant at takealot.com

This position reports to the Financial Accountant.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Bookkeeping up to trial balance  
• Processing of journals
• Performing General Ledger account reconciliations for revenue related accounts
• Investigation of Settlement Receivable reconciliation variances
• Assistance with monthly management accounts 
• Scoping, development and implementation of system automation projects
• Identifying control deficiencies and implementing new controls and processes
• Continuous iteration of accounting system processes
• Approval of monthly and weekly payment batches
• Assistance with departmental budgets and budget review packs
• Assistance during the Interim and Annual Audit process
• May be required to perform additional ad hoc duties, as required within the department

Qualifications and Experience:

• BCom Accounting Degree or similar qualification
• Completed SAICA articles advantageous
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role advantageous
• Computer proficiency pertaining to MS Office is a prerequisite
• Advanced Excel skills
• Sage Evolution experience would be beneficial
• Google suite (Google Sheets, Docs and Looker) experience beneficial
