Junior SQL Developer at Salt South Africa

Your main jobs will be:

• Building and fixing SQL (T-SQL) database bits-got to get it right, yeah?
• Looking at old code to make it better or add new tricks, like tweaking a wonky spell.
• Helping out with production systems when they go a bit mental.
• Teaming up with others to churn out solid solutions.
• Finding ways to make systems run smoother, so no one’s left in a flap.

Who We Are Looking For: We’re after a Junior SQL Developer who’s got:

• Cracking skills with SQL (T-SQL) and knows their way around SQL databases-like knowing your Quidditch playbook.
• The knack for picking apart code and making it do what’s needed without a fuss.
• A proper go-getter attitude, always ready to learn, even if it’s a bit daunting.
• Some know-how with C# .NET Framework for backend stuff (would be wicked, but not a dealbreaker).
• A bit of experience with web services (handy, like having a spare wand).

Skills and Experience: To do well, you’ll need:

• At least 1 year’s experience in a SQL Software Development or Production Support gig-nothing less, or it’s like flying a broom with no bristles.
• Good grip on SQL database design, building, and making things run better.
• Ability to figure out how to tweak existing code to match what the business wants.
• Experience with C# .NET Framework (nice to have, like a bonus Chocolate Frog).
• Knowledge of web services development (also nice, like nicking a sweet from Honeydukes).
