Job description:

• This Junior Trader position is in the commodity trading sector, focused on supporting the buying and selling of agricultural products such as soymeal, soybean oil, wheat bran, and maize chop.
• The role involves monitoring global and local market trends, assisting with trade administration, preparing performance reports, and ensuring smooth coordination between logistics, finance, and production teams.
• Under the guidance of senior traders, the Junior Trader will gain hands-on experience in market analysis, contract execution, and customer relationship management, while developing a strong understanding of commodity markets and agricultural business operations.

What You'll Bring:

• A relevant B.Com or BSc degree in Agriculture, Economics, Finance, or related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in a trading, commodity marketing, or agri-business environment (advantageous but not essential).
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other reporting tools.

What You'll Do:

• Monitor local and international market trends, providing timely market analysis and reports.
• Assist with position reporting and daily trade administration.
• Support the execution of cash sales for soymeal, soybean oil, soybean hulls, wheat bran, and maize chop.
• Liaise with logistics, finance, and production teams to ensure smooth contract execution and delivery.
• Prepare sales, stock, and market performance reports for internal stakeholders.
• Assist with basic trading activities under guidance, including relevant administrative tasks.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers through professional and efficient communication.
