    Key Account Manager, South Africa, Professional Hygiene

    About the Role

    The successful incumbent will be responsible for providing on-going support to high value clients. Implement business strategies to achieve profitable business relationships and identify new revenue opportunities with major accounts. The successful incumbent will be responsible for South African geographical location.

    What You Will Do

    • Develop and maintain strategic business relationships with major accounts to promote brand awareness and secure profitable business.
    • Develop, implement and monitor customer specific sales processes and account plans to meet/exceed sales targets.
    • Frequently analyses customer information to discover and manage business risks and opportunities.
    • Recommend products and services (value proposition) that fit well with client’s business needs.
    • Drives contract negotiations including terms and conditions, product offers and pricing in line with overall product and pricing strategies.
    • Provide on-going support to high value clients through setting up and leading the key account team/managing internal resources to support business objectives.
    • Re-evaluate customer prioritization of allocated customers on an annual base and propose actions
    • Generate knowledge on market development/customer needs and competitor activities and distribute to internal stakeholders

    Who You Are

    • Must have a Commercial tertiary (University) qualification
    • Knowledge of HORECA, Healthcare, Commercial and/or Industrial segments, key drivers, channels, distribution and purchasing practices
    • Must have extensive knowledge and exposure of working and living in South Africa market
    • Minimum of 3 years successful account management experience in professional hygiene / B2B solution selling in South Africa with a proven track record of adding profitable growth.
    • Ability to do extensive domestic travel around South Africa geographies (when safe & travel restrictions permit)
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 package with good presentation skills and knowledge of SAP (or similar ERP)
    • Must be able to establish and maintain relationships for effective partnerships with excellent negotiating skills and operational decision making ability
