Lab Assistant - NRL Microbiology - Centurion at Ampath

Purpose of Position:

To clean and maintain laboratory and assist with preparation of specimens in the laboratory.

Requirements:

• Grade 12, HPCSA Registration in Relevant Register and Practice Field

Required Experience:

• Experience within a pathology environment, Knowledge: Meditech system

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and maintain laboratory in order to ensure a clean and safe work environment, Complete the necessary studying and tasks that are required to complete the learner lab assistants training,
• Maintain good client relations to promote the image of Ampath, Perform administration tasks in order to ensure effective administration systems in the laboratory, Perform general laboratory tasks in order to ensure the effective functioning of the laboratory,
• Prepare Cytology specimen in order to ensure efficient processing of specimens in the laboratory, Receive cytology specimens in order to ensure effective and efficient specimen flow in the laboratory
