    Learning And Development Specialist

    The Learning & Development Specialist will be responsible to drive the Leadership and Professional Skills Development Academies in researching, designing and execution of bespoke leadership development programmes for the RCL group as well as to give direction in functional capability building programmes in support of our core functions.  He/she will also be responsible for establishing an integrated continuous learning framework with offerings to build and high-performance leadership and functional academies by employing a variety of instructor-led and/or technology-enabled strategies designed to help employees, acquire and maintain knowledge and skills required for successful individual, team, and organisational performance. The incumbent will furthermore be responsible for driving a framework of D & I Capability building offerings and interventions, in collaboration with the D & I Function, with the objective to support the creation of a truly equitable workforce and a psychological safe work environment for RCL FOODS.

    Minimum Requirements    

    •  Bachelor degree or advanced diploma in Human Resource Management or Education 
    •  Valid Code EB drivers’ licence 
    •  Five years of experience in the field of learning and development  including course design and facilitation; adult education/learning styles and competency development aligned to learning pathways

    Duties & Responsibilities    
    Leadership and Professional Skills Development

    •  Responsible for the strategic-tactical development and alignment of RCL’s Leadership Development Academy and to give direction to various teams who are responsible to drive Professional Skills Academies to build functional capability for the business. 
    •  Build relationships with business schools, relevant universities and learning institutions to enable the delivery of quality leadership development interventions and programmes to be delivered on-line and face to face. 
    •  Drive the development, launch and sustainability of functional skills dictionaries for the Group through various internal functional Steering Committees
    •  Alignment of skills dictionaries to the Performance Management and Employee Development Process.
    •  Support the Career Pathing process through effective Learning Pathway development
    •  Engage with Senior Leadership to ensure skills alignment to business performance requirements

    Diversity and Inclusivity capability building

    •  To work collaboratively with the RCL D & I Function and to lead the design, development and implementation of a framework of D & I Capability building offerings and Development interventions, with the aim to build D & I facilitation mussel, to support the driving of our transformation objectives by creating  a safe psychological work environment with the identification of learning opportunities that would eliminate discrimination and potential barriers in creating a truly equitable workplace. 
    •  The aforementioned includes, but not limited to, D & I and Cultural awareness Courses, D & I Facilitator training, on-line and in person D & I Facilitator quarterly capability building sessions and growth journeys, Leading with Diversity Leadership development courses, and other D & I training and development initiatives using in-house capacity or external vendors.

    Planning for Divisional Learning Support

    •  Advise senior leadership and HR Business Partners regarding initiatives and activities that promote maximum staff engagement, agility and effectiveness and create a positive impact in creating high-performing teams and functions.
    •  Consult with HR Business Partners and conduct a training needs analysis in the relevant Business Units to identify training needs based on employee’s Individual Development Plans (IDPs).
    •  Link training needs to relevant development interventions as per the 70/20/10 Blended Learning Principle.

    Technical Expertise

    •  Facilitation skills is an essential skill that is needed for successful functioning within this role
    •  Provide technical expertise and strategic insight to Divisional HR Leadership teams 
    •  Provide technical expertise on external industry committees and bodies.

    Training and Development Budget Management

    •  Compile and manage the Leadership, Professional skills Development and D & I Capability building budget 
    •  Control and approve expenditure against the budget.
