Job Summary

As the Legal & Regulatory Associate, your responsibility will be drafting, reviewing and assisting in negotiating contracts, understanding regulation, mitigating legal risk and reporting to Authorities, specify internal governance policies and regularly monitor compliance, research and evaluate different risk factors regarding business decisions and operations, so we’re looking for an empathetic young leader, with the relevant experience and skills, to help build the vision for excellent standards in legal, and to instill a customer-centric culture at AZA. This is an exciting opportunity to help take Africa’s leading digital FX company to the next level.

This role will be based in South Africa.

Requirements

• Experience as Legal Counsel, financial and commercial law specifically.
• Minimum of 3 years PQE experience.
• Familiar with SARB regulations and guidelines is a strong advantage
• Good knowledge of data protection, intellectual property, banking and contract law in South Africa.
• Willingness and eagerness to learn multiple aspects of the business, devising innovative solutions to complex legal problems.
• Experience working with regulators is an advantage
