Logistics Operations Supervisor at Ford Middle East & Africa

Role Summary:

• Manage / Implement Logistics network designed using JDA, Monitor Carrier Operations for FMCSA & support Strategic studies / Cost Savings Ideas.

Position Details:

• Drive cost efficiency. Drive in identifying and implementing the Cost reduction ideas.
• Ensure no production loss on account of RTM.
• Monitor Carrier Operations / KPIs / Metrics & ensure Production continuity.
• Analyze / Extract relevant data sets and mash-up data from multiple sources to develop analytical solutions on:
• Transit delays / Blow outs / Early arrivals etc and apply appropriate methodology visualization/statistics/optimization
• Create dashboards for RTM that throws compelling story / Insights that may otherwise get lost in Complex data environment
• Improving Cube/Cost Utilizations    
• Creative / Out of box approaches to solve the business problem
• Analyze variance between Month over Month "Budget Vs. Actual" and find root causes to address and reduce this gap
• Manage the Freight Accrual Process effectively                  
• Establish an on-going Cost Control process to monitor freight costs on a monthly basis.
• Manage Supplier delivered to EXW conversion process

Performance Measures:

• Seem less production, Freight Cost Efficiency and Cube Utilization
• Executing optimized Network

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Experience in Logistics TMS Solutions.
• Possess Good business acumen in ,
• Logistics, Supply chain, Network Design, Warehousing
• Parts call in (HMRS, Sequencing) & CMMS on SCM / Logistics.
• Knowledge of contract management with service providers
• Excellent Analytical , Oral & Written Communication skills

Qualifications and Experience:

• Min Qualification: National diploma/degree Mechanical Engineering/Industrial Engineering or Electrical Engineering
• Extensive experience (6-8 years) in Logistics network planning/operations and freight management.
• Management experience.
