Logistics Supervisor at Yara International

Responsibilities

• Ensure production and bagging plan is accurately completed, based on the sales forecast received from commercial within manufacturing constraints.
• Do weekly loadplans
• Monitor plan on a daily basis to make adjustments if planned production or dispatches does not materialize.
• Source, manage and plan the loading off all outbound loads as well as offloading of inbound loads within available capacities and stock availability.
• Assist with compilation of business plan for the department with regards to transport
• Establish and maintain long-term business relationships with service providers.
• Control monthly expenditure within budgetary requirements.
• People management
• Ability to interact, communicate and negotiate both within the own organization and with external suppliers is essential.
   

Additional Information

EDUCATION, COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Matric
• Related Tertiary education at NQF level 6 and or higher
• Able to speak, read and write English
• Afrikaans as second language may be a preference
• Ability forecast, calculate, analyze and draw inferences on data and trends
• Negotiation skills
• Experience working experience in a similar plant, role in logistics and or production planning
