Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:

The main responsibility of the successful candidate will be to:

• Lead a team of analysts to work alongside the Operational Management Team to drive data driven decision making and excellence in execution of strategies
• Assist the team in prioritising analytics work to make the biggest impact on the business and meet operational demands
• Manage the execution of projects and tasks to agreed timelines
• Provide technical support to analysts to formulate problem statement and an analytics plan of action
   
• Provide analytics support and data insights by using the following solutions:
• Build and maintain management reports/dashboards (SQL, Visual Studio, Data Models and Power BI)
• Build and maintain internal data-driven automations (SQL/internally developed apps)
• Document and formalise key data processes and models to ensure a robust data analytics framework

Build, maintain and improve predictive models to support business objectives including:

• Work allocation models
• Performance management models
• Audit models

• Must have a passion for operational business processes and strategies
• Someone that can deconstruct a problem on the fly and talk to others as you do so
• Keen to work in a dynamic environment where there’s often no textbook solution
• An ability to thrive in a busy environment with multiple deliverables
• Solid interpersonal skills to effectively work alongside operations and IT

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Engineering, Informatics or equivalent

The following would be beneficial:

• Experience in leading a team of actuarial and/or data scientists
• Experience in Agile project management
• Experience in building linear and non-linear models
• Experience in Machine Learning operationalisation (MLOps), preferably in Azure
• Experience of working in the business intelligence or data analytics field
• Hands-on experience with SQL programming
• Experience in working with visualisation tools such as Power BI
