An opportunity exists for a Maintenance Handyman, reporting to the Technical Services Manager. The successful incumbent will be responsible for ensuring continuous availability of Mechanical and/or electrical services, air conditioning repairs and equipment maintenance as required for the Hospital infrastructure.
Critical Outputs
Stock & inventory control.
Restoration and/ or repairs of buildings and equipment, risk management and daily check lists.
The candidate must have a good understanding of equipment.
Excellent completion of daily job cards as well as feedback thereof is high priority.
The candidate will be responsible and involved in SHEQ procedures.
Excellent fault-finding skills, a must have.
Requirements
Grade 12 or equivalent.
Maintenance technical qualification in electrical or plumbing or air-conditioning
2 years maintenance experience in a hospital environment.
Competency in any of the following fields: electrical, building, plumbing, carpentry, welding, or tiling.
Experience in maintenance duties such as plumbing, welding, carpentry, electrical, painting, and general building maintenance.
A valid driver’s license.
