Maintenance Manager at Transnet

Position Purpose

• To plan, organise and control running maintenance to ensure optimum equipment availability.

Position Outputs

• Implementation of maintenance strategy for dredging services.
• Manage normal running maintenance.
• Ensure customer satisfaction.
• Manage operating expenses.
• Controlled stock for maintenance purposes with MTO.
• Ensure sound corporate governance and risk management, to meet stakeholder expectations.
• Ensure effective and efficient business process, for optimum, long term profitability.

Qualifications and Experience

• Qualifications, Experience & Inherent Job Requirements
• 2nd Engineer >3000 kW Engineering Officer of the Watch (STCW) or Chief Engineer Officer (Port Operations) licence.
• Officer in Charge of Engineering Watch STCW III/1 licence. 
• National Diploma (NQF level 6) in Mechanical Engineering.
• Officer in Charge of Engineering Watch STCW III/1 licence.
• Minimum years relevant experience 5 years Standard Job

Requirements

• Driver’s license (minimum of code 08) Travel as required and approved
