Job Summary
To drive and manage the insurance process for the Gold Fields Group in support of the group’s strategic objectives of sustainable cash generation and value distribution.
The appointee should have:
Fellow of the Insurance Institute of South Africa (FIISA).
Be registered with the appropriate professional body.
Key responsibilities:
Provide (where applicable) insurance type solutions to identified risks that can have a direct impact on the group and offer recommendations or solutions to address such situations.
Provide proactive solutions to emerging insurance market trends to ensure that the group is appropriately covered.
Interact with external insurance professionals, strategic business partners, business groups and insurance regulators in order to keep abreast of any developments in the insurance market that can have an impact on the group.
Provide group-wide insurance guidance and leadership by ensuring compliance with applicable legislation and adherence to correct procedure in order to contribute to improved financial results.
Assist and guide regions to make key insurance decisions in line with the group’s risk reduction and mitigating strategies.
Is considered the expert and first point of reference for leading practice for insurance and demonstrates a high level of applied expertise.
Be an ambassador for the Group in the risk and insurance sphere.
