Manager Insurance at OVK - Group

Minimum Requirements:

• B Com degree or equivalant qualification;
• 5 years managerial experience;
• 10 years’ experience in a short-term insurance environment (agricultural, commercial and personal-lines) and crop insurance environment;
• 3 years’ experience in a corporate insurance environment;
• Thorough understanding of applicable FAIS legislation as well as FAIS accreditation (NQF5, RE1, RE5);
• Valid drivers license.

Skills:

• Computer literate (MS Office);
• Sound communication and language skills in Afrikaans and English;
• Strong analytical skills;
• Strong negotiation skills;
• Must be able to thrive under pressure;
• The ability to maintain good interpersonal relationships and to motivate staff;
• Thourough understanding of short term insurance, crop insurance and corporate insurance.

Responsibilities:

• Compilation and management of the OVK Insurance’s business plan;
• Management of personnel;
• Management of finances;
• Management of customer service;
• General management of OVK’s Insurance brokerage.
