Key Performance Output

The successful candidate r4will be reporting to the Senior Manager Maintenance Engineering and will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

• Ensure compliance to relevant statutory/legislative regulations, SOP's, operational standards, policies and practices.
• Ensure effective and compliant contract management and that work is executed in accordance with contract (time frame, SLA, Scope, quality, budget, contractors).
• Compile, manage and account for relevant budgets according to business requirements and specifications.
• Review SLA tracking the performance of the infrastructure within the environment.
• Review and advice the maintenance or operations plans submitted by Engineers.
• Ensure that maintenance and operational activities are being carried out.
• Accountable for operational team performance through effective management within policies and procedures to ensure achievement of standards/objectives.
• Training and Development of staff.
• Management of scope compilation and relevance of scope.
• Initiate and identify maintenance- and continuous improvement projects.
• Reporting on call statistics and reasons within IMC.
• Highlight variances according to benchmarks with regards to infrastructure availability.
• Build, support and maintain healthy diverse internal (peers, unions, team) as well as external (service providers etc.) relationships and implement remedial actions where required to ensure achievement of organisational goals.
• Update and maintain maintenance asset register.
• Ensure work requests and work orders are generated for maintenance activities.
• Adhere to relevant statutory/legislative regulations, SOP's, operational standards, policies and practices.

Technical Skills and Experience

The following skills and experience will be required: 

• Bachelors Degree (4years 480 credits) NQF Level 8 in B-Tech Engineering/BSC Mechanical is essential.
• 7 years operational experience in Engineering/Building environment is essential. 
• 3 years management experience in Engineering is essential.
• Valid Code B drivers licence is required.
