AngloGold Ashanti is seeking an experienced Project Services Manager to provide end-to-end project services support across our medium and major projects and studies for the global project portfolio. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in project controls, capital project governance, and best-practice project management within the mining or process industries to the role.
WORK ACCOUNTABILITIES
Lead and support project teams by ensuring objectives, priorities, scope (WBS), estimates, schedules, and deadlines are clearly understood and adhered to throughout the project lifecycle.
Develop, review and maintain project controls including controls plans, information management plans, integrated scope-cost-schedule alignment, and governance of policies, standards, guidelines, procedures, and templates.
Drive quality project delivery by participating in framing and investment reviews, identifying early warnings, analysing trends, and providing status reporting to proactively address deviations from approved targets.
Promote best-practice capital and project management across the organisation and embed consistent methodologies to improve execution maturity and decision-making.
Enable portfolio-level visibility by aligning and standardising data globally to support effective measurement, dashboarding, and strategic oversight of the full project portfolio.
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
Degree in engineering, mining, or related discipline, with postgraduate project management qualifications.
Registration with an international project management association in either a project or program related category would be advantageous.
Minimum 10 years’ experience in project services delivering projects within mining or extractive industries.
Proven capability in scheduling, estimating, cost control, document control, and project information management.
Experience managing in multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural project environments across multiple regions.
Strong commercial, analytical, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
Registration with an international project management association (advantageous).
Experience in working with project teams located in North America, Latin America, Africa and Australia.
Proficiency with PowerBI and Excel would be an advantage
