Manager: QA at Weir Minerals

Key Responsibilities: 

• Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture

Quality Management Systems:

• Implement and maintain ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems at the Alrode Manufacturing Plant.

Metrics and KPIs:

• Develop and track quality performance metrics/KPIs for the Alrode Plant.

Lean Rollout:

• Manage Lean rollout initiatives for Quality in Alrode.

Quality Assurance Strategies:

• Implement strategies to achieve quality output targets.

Staff Development and Budgets:

• Develop and manage staff to meet Quality requirements and manage QA department budgets.
• Additionally, handle Supplier performance analysis, Customer concerns, warranty claims, and adhere to EHS and housekeeping requirements

Job Knowledge: 

• Minimum of 5 years Quality Management experience
• Manufacturing technology knowledge
• Experience with Six Sigma/Lean/problem solving methodologies and formal PPAP release process
• Control of non-conforming products
• Budgeting
• ISO 9001 Competent 

Education and Qualifications:

• Grade 12 Certificate
• B.Sc. or B.Eng. in Engineering or related technical discipline
• Relevant Management qualification
