Manager: Services & Logistics (Transport, Fleet, Business Operations)
Degree in (Transport and Fleet, Business Operations – PREFFERED) Logistics, management or equivalent (NQF 7).
5 years management experience in (Transport and Fleet, Business Operations), logistical services.
Must have sound knowledge of Logistics: Logistics management, Corporate travel, Logistical services. Fleet Services and Management, Transport Service and Management;
Summary of Duties:
Oversee the entire process of from acquisition, inventory management to delivery.
Corporate travel management.
Correspond with clients, suppliers, fleet & transport, warehouses, and operations hubs to ensure efficiency of logistics services.
Find more efficient ways to move or deliver services.
Manage inventory and keep records.
Monitor and manage budgets.
Develop plans, select the better ways of delivering services and contracting.
Keep up to date on various ways and options for service delivery.
Customer service orientation.
Respond to and resolve complaints and problems.
Ensure reliable and efficient delivery of services within DUT campuses.
Understanding business requirements.
Developing the customer charter and action plans.
Ensure compliance to DUT policies and procedures regarding procurement and management of service providers.
Develop the service charter and SLAs.
Ensure stakeholders adherence to SLA’s.
Managing and controlling of budgets.
Assess and analyse the claims before they are submitted to finance for payment. (Whether rates claimed are those contracted).
Ensure monthly meetings with service providers are held to track performance with contracts.
Development of people centered management model.
Ensure staff understand service levels and adherence.
Develop the team culture and alignment across the unit.
Planning, organizing and managing schedules for the teams.
Monthly meetings with relevant stakeholders to address challenges and any suggestions to improve service delivery.
Ensuring reasonable turnaround time for all services.
Develop the regular reporting format on performance and deviation.
Providing reports on contracted services and deviations from SLAs.
