    Mechanic Diesel

    Job Specific Experience

    •  5 years post Trade Test experience as a Diesel Mechanic
    •  Experience within the Pulp & Paper industry and specifically with pulp processing equipment will be beneficial

    Qualifications & Expertise

    •  Minimum Matric
    •  N3 plus Trade Tested Diesel Mechanic

    Competencies

    •  Auto electrical knowledge
    •  Ability to read electrical & hydraulic schematics
    •  Basic welding & Cutting skills
    •  Basic rigging up to 5 ton
    •  Ability to operate overhead cranes, forklifts & mobile plant
    •  Ability to work under pressure

    Functional Outputs

    •  Maintain Mobile earth moving plant, Log loaders, Locos, Forklifts, Liebhers, Gantrys, Motor Vehicles and Generators
    •  Carry out Faultfinding on transmissions, electrical systems,  hydraulic  and pneumatic systems and  final drives
    •  Carry out maintenance on hydraulic systems, engines, electrical systems, final drives, lubrication system ,and overall equipment
    •  Carry out Inspections and Services to all Mobile Plant and Equipment
    •  Adhere to SHE policies , OHS Act and Safety Regulations

    General

    •  Computer literacy (including SAP) is required
    •  Required to do standby duties
