Mechanic Duties include fault finding, maintenance, repairs and servicing of all plant and equipment.
Must understand hydraulics and electrics to do fault finding, interpret parts and workshop manuals, schematics, etc.
Must know and understand risk assessments, JSA’s, HIRA and all other safety requirements
Must be medically fit and prepared to travel to sites within SA and cross border as and when required.
Arrange maintenance to site vehicles and plant as per manufacturer’s handbook /instructions on an ongoing basis.
Requirements
Qualified Earthmoving Equipment Mechanic Min 8-10 years’ experience in servicing, repairs to petrol and diesel engines (vehicles & construction plant). Have an understanding of Bell, CAT, Komatsu, Hitachi and Mercedes. Ability to work without supervision. Fluent in English (read, speak, write). Ability to plan and schedule work. Adhering to Principles and Values. Delivering Results and Meeting Customer Expectations.Coping with Pressures and Setbacks. Diesel Mechanic and other relevant trades will be considered depending on experience. Post Trade Test Experience will be an advantage.
