    Mechanical Engineer – FEA/Vibration Analyst

    REQUIREMENTS:

    •           Minimum of M Eng degree in Mechanical Engineering with major subjects in either Finite Element Theory and/or vibration analysis and with 0 - 4 years working experience.
    •           Or B Eng degree with minimum 3 – 5 years relevant experience in either Finite Element Methods or Vibration analysis.
    •           Experience in detail design, drafting or modelling will be an advantage.

              Above average insight into the mechanical operation of machines and equipment. Candidates to demonstrate their abilities by means of examples and their ability to explain this with the help of on-the-spot freehand sketches.

    •           First-hand experience of driving to get tasks done. Be able to share by means of examples.
    •           Ability to work independently and in a team, self-starter, “go-getter”.
    •           Good interpersonal relations with the ability to market services.
    •           Good report writing skills in the English language.
    •           Organized and self-disciplined.
    •           Valid driver’s license with own transport (Code B / EB)

    WORK DESCRIPTION:

    Engineers will be exposed to the detail design and engineering of new plants and of solutions to problems experienced with machinery and pressurized equipment in the petrochemical field. Design work will involve the use FEA tools and working with data obtained from strain gauges, accelerometers, etc. The engineer may also from time to time be involved in the installation of the measurement devices.
