Mechanical Engineering Draught Person - Pretoria at NECSA

Job Profile:

• To provide a cost-effective Draughting services while doing design of moderate complexity at a level of difficulty that is suited to an experienced draughtsman

Key Performance Areas:

• Create 3D concept / presentation models and drawings for design engineers and customers.
• Generate component & assembly 3D models and detailed 2D drawings.
• Creating interface designs, models and drawings on Solid Edge, Solid Works and Pro-Engineer.
• Integrate complex models and layouts.
• Translate drawings or models from suppliers into integrated models and drawings to verify compliance within plant.
• Provide technical guidance in respect of problem solving and decision-making.
• Adhere to procedures, design specifications, safety and quality standards and customer requirements.
• Responsible for configuration of models and drawing within Teamcenter.
• Comply too ISO 9001/2008 quality requirements.
• Broad and in-depth knowledge of relevant technical drawings.
• Broad knowledge of variety of equipment.
• Workable knowledge of material types.
• Practical knowledge of multi-disciplinary engineering application.
• Ability to plan layout and presentation of drawings and models
• Develop  Work methods & techniques
• Develop Policies & Procedures

Requirements

KEY KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

•  Working knowledge of drawing office best practices.
• Working knowledge of Solid Edge, Solid Works and Pro-Engineer
• Excellent organising skills
• Be physically and mentally fit to work in nuclear and processing facilities (e.g. be registered as nuclear and chemical workers when required)..

Qualifications and Experience:

Education:

• Grade 12 or N2 Technical qualification with maths
• Preferred- N6 Technical qualification

Experience: 

• 5 years Draughting experience
