Medical Registrar: Accident And Emergency Unit (Chbah) at SADOCS

Requirements :

• Appropriate qualification that allows registration with the HPCSA as Medical Practitioner, HPCSA registration as an independent medical practitioner. Current HPCSA registration for 2026/2027.
• Must be a South African citizen or permanent resident. Must have successfully completed the Diploma in Primary Emergency Care. Must have successfully completed FCEM Part 1.

Duties :

• Perform duties according to guidelines from the Department of Emergency Medicine, University of Witwatersrand, and Colleges of Medicine of South Africa. Perform Commuted Overtime. Clinical training, teaching, and assisting in the examination of undergraduate and postgraduate students.
• The incumbent will be responsible for interviewing, investigating, diagnosing, and overseeing the treatment of patient-related administrative duties. Participation in departmental meetings, journal clubs, case presentations, lectures, and ward rounds. Ensure that administration and record keeping is done in the department. Undertaking research. Attending and presenting at academic meetings.
• Encourage good working relationships between colleagues and departments. Availability for ongoing assessments. Signing annual performance agreements and availability for quarterly reviews.
