Medical Registrar - Anesthesiology (Kalafong Provincial Tertiary Hospital
The successful candidate should be registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as an Independent Medical Practitioner.
A Diploma in Anaesthesia is required.
The successful candidates will be expected to rotate through all our training hospitals.
The following will be added advantages: Work experience in the field of Anaesthesiology.; CMSA part 1 examinations; auxiliary courses relevant to the field of Anaesthesiology.
The successful applicant will be required to complete the FCA Part 1 examination, if not already completed, the MMed (Anaesthesiology) dissertation, and the FCA Part 2 examination as part of their accreditation to qualify as a specialist by the HPCSA.
Duties :
The expected activities will include perioperative patient management. The successful applicant will have to perform after-hours work and rotate through other departments, including Critical Care.
The registrar will also be expected to participate in the department’s academic program, participate in any research activities and maintain a portfolio of learning.
