Appropriate qualification that allows registration with the HPCSA as Medical Specialist in a normal specialty and current registration.
Grade1: No experience required after registration with the HPCSA, as Medical Specialist in a relevant Speciality.
Grade 2: A minimum of 5 (Five) years appropriate experience as Medical Specialist after registration with the HPCSA as Medical Specialist in a relevant Speciality and
Grade 3: A minimum of Ten (10) years appropriate experience as Medical Specialist after registration with the HPCSA as Medical Specialist in a relevant Speciality.
Duties :
Medical Specialist will inter alia be responsible for rendering services, assessment and treatment of patients, related administration participating in all activities of the discipline in relation to teaching, participating in departmental audit activities, preparing and writing liason and community outreach. Medical specialist will serve in their specific hospitals outreach programmes.
Medical specialist will be appointed on a joint appointment on the establishment of Dr. George Mukhari Academic Hospital and Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University.
