Job description

• Perform Blood Bank technical procedures which include patient sample testing, preparation, and issuing of blood products according to Work Instructions;
• Check and reconcile patient information provided against the request form, prepared product, computer data, and issue documents to ensure that the correct product is issued to the correct patient;
• Coordinate processes with reference to communication, checks, queries, document control, and record keeping.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric
• National Diploma in Biomedical Technology
• Registered with HPCSA in Blood Transfusion
• Computer literate
• The working hours are variable, shift work is required with weekend work and call-outs.
