Medium Term, Mine Planner at Exxaro Resources

As our Medium-Term Mine Planner, you will:

Minimum Requirements    

QUALIFICATIONS:

• N Dip: Mining Engineering (Essential/Minimum or)
• N Dip: Mine Surveying (Essential/Minimum or)
• N Dip: Geology (Essential/Minimum or)
• Diploma Metallurgy (Essential/Minimum or)
• N Dip: Chemical Engineering (Essential/Minimum)
• BSc Geology (Recommended/Desirable or)
• BSc Metallurgy (Recommended/Desirable or)
• BEng Chemical Engineering (Recommended/Desirable or)
• BEng Mining Engineering (Recommended/Desirable or)
• BEng Industrial Engineering (Recommended/Desirable or)
• BEng Metallurgical Engineering (Recommended/Desirable)
• Certificate First Line Management (Recommended/Desirable)

EXPERIENCE: 

• 3-5 years Relevant experience in Mine planning in Surface or Underground Mines. A minimum of 3 years operational mining experience or exposure to mine operations (e.g. mine surveying, Geology or Mine planning), computer literate and be able to work with OCCS or other software used for Mine planning and design purposes. (Essential/Minimum) (Operational)

REQUIREMENTS: 

• Psychometric Assessment (Essential/Minimum) (To be conducted by Exxaro)
• Certificate of Fitness (Essential/Minimum) (To be conducted by Exxaro)
• Engineering Council of SA (Candidate) (Recommended/Desirable)
• Competence: Discipline Specific Program (Recommended/Desirable)
