A day in the life of a Microbiologist

Safety:

• Responsible for own safety and safety of others as per NQAC SHE rules.

Quality:

• Executes analytical testing and validates results according to competency matrix.
• Takes part in method implementation (validation, verification, matrix extension), method and GLP audits.
• Monitors analytical methods and environment as per internal procedures.
• Actively supports operations meeting customer expectations regarding timely results delivery. 
• Execute and maintain ICP’s for method and equipment as per procedures including calibration schedule and assists in continuously improving equipment ICPs. 
• Monitors and maintains necessary inventory for chemicals and materials.

Quality System:

• Define and update the specific quality procedures, instructions and tools which are directly related to their analyses and tests.
• Execute and maintain change management as per procedure.
• Actively involved in problem solving       

NCE:

• Actively involved in relevant NCE activities including continuous improvement.

What will make you successful?

• bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Microbiology, Food technology, and related field
• 3 years’ experience in Microbiological laboratory
• Good knowledge in quality management system ISO/IEC 17025
• Intermediate in spoken and written English and computer skill
• Previous experience on ELISA or PCR platform.
• High level of attention to detail.
