Microsoft Solutions Engineer at Forvis Mazars Group

Duties and Responsibilities

Solution Development  

• Design and develop innovative solutions on Microsoft 365 (e.g., SharePoint Online, Teams, Power Platform) and Azure (e.g., Azure Functions, App Services).  
• Build and deploy cloud-native applications in Azure to address business challenges and improve operational efficiency.

Azure Infrastructure Management  

• Manage Azure resources, including virtual machines, storage, networking, and identity management via Microsoft Entra ID.  
• Optimize Azure environments for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness using tools like Azure Monitor and Cost Management.

Integration and Automation  

• Integrate Microsoft 365 applications with Azure services (e.g., Azure Logic Apps, Power Automate) to streamline workflows.  
• Leverage Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with tools like Bicep or Terraform.

Security and Compliance  

• Implement security best practices using Azure Security Center, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, and Microsoft Entra ID.  
• Ensure solutions comply with organizational and regulatory standards, including data protection and governance policies.

Deployment and Optimization  

• Deploy solutions across Microsoft 365 and Azure using modern practices, ensuring high availability and resilience.  
• Monitor and enhance solution performance with tools like Azure Application Insights and Microsoft 365 Admin Center.

Documentation and Support  

• Create detailed technical documentation, including architecture designs, deployment guides, and user manuals.  
• Provide training and support to end-users and teams to maximize adoption of Microsoft 365 and Azure solutions.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement  

• Stay ahead of the curve with Microsoft 365 and Azure advancements, proposing upgrades and new solutions.  
• Identify opportunities to leverage emerging tools (e.g., Copilot for Microsoft 365, Azure AI Services) to drive innovation.

Minimum Requirements

Experience

• Proven track record of building, deploying, and managing solutions on Azure and Microsoft 365 platforms.  
• Experience with cloud security, compliance, and end-to-end project lifecycles.  
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.  

Preferred Certifications:  

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure Developer Associate.  
• Microsoft 365 Certified: Developer Associate or Enterprise Administrator Expert.
