Job Advert Summary    

• Safe and efficient operating of Front-End Loader.
• Operates loader equipped with front mounted hydraulic powered bucket, which is used to transport aggregate or other materials, feed hoppers and / or stockpile aggregates
• Work in varying temperatures, dusty and weather conditions
• Must be able to effectively function in a highly pressurized environment

Minimum Requirements    

• Grade 12 plus external driver certification.
• 3 Years’ experience as loader driver
• Ability to drive Straight / Auto-semi auto / split gearbox vehicles
• Operating a loader certification.
• Public Drivers Permit (PDP)
• Human relations and interpersonal skills
• High level of responsibility, integrity, reliability, good work ethics and positive attitude
• Good customer relationship
• Be able to perform basic and repetitive duties

Duties and Responsibilities    

• Physically healthy and fit
• Must have good sight, hearing, and speech ability.
• Work after hours including Saturdays when necessary and on short notice.
• Prepare for the day by conducting a pre-trip inspection of the loader.
• Perform daily maintenance and safety checks on equipment.
• Report on any problems or defaults to the Supervisor
• Operates the loader in a safe, efficient, responsible, and appropriate manner.
• Operates loader controls to lower and tilt bucket.
• Ensure that the loader is cleaned inside and outside
• Conducts a post-trip inspection at the end of each shift.
• Follow instructions as per the manufacturer specifications.
• Be courteous to fellow plant users.
• Adhere to the rules and regulations and all the relevant company set policies and procedures.
• Be completely knowledgeable in operating the equipment.
• Be familiar with the danger and safety regulations in relation to operating a loader (Articulation, lifting and lowering bucket)
