NOC Monitoring Agent (Intermediate) at Datacentrix

Managed Talent Solutions' client is looking for a NOC Monitoring Agent (Intermediate).  As a NOC (Network Operations Center) Monitoring Agent, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our client's network infrastructure and related systems. Your primary task will be to monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and escalate problems as necessary to maintain optimal network functionality and minimize downtime. You will work closely with other members of the NOC team and various stakeholders to address incidents promptly and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Network Monitoring: Utilize advanced monitoring tools and systems to monitor network performance and availability.
• Incident Response: Respond promptly to network alerts and alarms, conducting thorough investigations and implementing resolutions.
• Proactive Maintenance: Conduct routine system checks and health assessments to proactively identify and mitigate potential issues.
• Incident Documentation: Document and track incidents, conducting comprehensive root cause analyses and documenting resolution procedures.
• Escalation Management: Escalate intricate or critical issues to higher-level support teams or management for in-depth investigation and resolution.
• Collaboration: Coordinate with various IT teams and vendors to troubleshoot and resolve network-related challenges.
• Change Management: Assist in the implementation of network changes, upgrades, and maintenance activities.
• Continuous Learning: Stay abreast of the latest network technologies, best practices, and industry trends.
• Process Improvement: Contribute to the enhancement of NOC processes, procedures, and documentation.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a NOC or similar network monitoring role preferred.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
• Experience with network monitoring tools such as Managed Engine Ops Manager, SolarWinds, or PRT G.
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve network issues.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
