Open-source Software Developer (Hybrid) at Sybrin Limited

Overview:

Becoming an open-source software developer, you'll be playing a key role in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of open-source platforms. The applications you create are likely to help underprivileged communities access financial inclusion through interoperable payments.

As an open-source software developer your list of tasks can include:

• Reviewing current systems
• Presenting ideas for system improvements
• Working closely with analysts, designers, and other project staff in an agile environment
• Design, develop and maintain current payment/fraud platforms
• Perform peer testing of the product in a controlled environment
• Assist on an ad-hoc basis with any development projects

Skills and Attributes:

• 3 – years of development experience
• Experience with NodeJS/Typescript on the backend
• Ability to work in a team
• Eye for detail and identifying problems
• Prior knowledge of fraud risk / anti-money laundering solutions is a plus
• Knowledge of microservices in Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud platforms like Azure.
• TypeScript
• NodeJS (npm)
• MSSQL (and/or Oracle is a plus)
• GitLab / GitHub
• Redis 
• Open-source tools are a plus (NiFi, Kafka, ArangoDB, OpenFaaS, etc)
