Operations Manager (Cape Town) at Brima Logistics

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

• Be responsible for managing the Cape Town branch and all operations related. Act as a focal point for customer problems, questions, or concerns for the branch.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

• To Manage and co-ordinate logistics activities for the successful execution of the business plan from order placement to client delivery and management of inventory levels, while optimizing logistics flows.
• Manage and evaluate all daily operations of the branch.
• Make sure that all drivers are on route and monitor driving behaviour
• Fleet Management
• Ensure that all deliveries arrive on schedule
• Ensure that all collections are booked and collected on time
• Make sure that all staff are well managed and monitor
• Do performance measurements for staff
• Do Weekly/Monthly reports for the Operations Director
• Responsible for training staff

QUALIFICATIONS/ EXPERIENCE

• Minimum Matric & 4-5 years related experience in a similar role
• Relevant tertiary qualification
• Good knowledge of courier track and trace system

SPECIALSKILLS/ COMPETENCIES

• A valid driver’s license
• Team player
• Good computer and communication skills
• Must be a quick thinker when problems arise
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Leadership traits, organization, time-management skills.
