Operator / Setter at Vital Health Foods

Description

• Perform various tasks to set up, operate, monitor, troubleshoot and clean/sanitize machinery according to set standards to meet production
• KPI’s and adhering to HACCP and GMP principles.

Responsibilities: 

• Perform production tasks
• Ensure and verify adequate materials and supplies are available at the right quality to complete operations
• Facilitate movement of raw materials
• Accurate completion of production related paperwork
• Perform production line opening and complete all relevant documentation
• Operate/monitor multiple pieces of line equipment during operation to ensure efficient, quality production
• Adjust machine as needed for changeovers, different functions, or other varying needs of production
• Maintain OEE through maintenance, correct set up and minimizing changeovers
• Maintain housekeeping and quality/ safety standards
• Perform maintenance checks and troubleshooting generated
• Set up accurately, maintain and troubleshoot machinery and process tooling.

Requirements

• Grade 12 certificate, preferably with Maths
• Technical N2 qualification is essential
• At least 2 years’ experience in a GMP environment performing the relevant job
• Technical aptitude and basic electrical knowledge
• Knowledge of GMP and HACCP
• Knowledge of health and safety
• Valid each Truck/Forklift Licence would be advantageous
• Previous experience in compression / coating machine operating sector would be advantageous
• Basic computer skills
• Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools
• Above average accuracy, problem solving & time management skills
