Job Description:

• As our Ore Feed Planning Engineeryour responsibilities will include but not limited to:
• Safety, Health, and Environment
• Manage a safe and healthy work environment where workers and contractor can deliver their outputs within a controlled risk environment.
• Keep environmental impact within statutory requirements to ensure compliance.
• Active participation in VFLs, Risk Assessments and close-out of Safety Actions.
• Performance and Delivery
• Short-term Planning:
• Ensure an accurate daily feed plan is achieved and aligned with the monthly plan and current mining operations.
• Stakeholder relationship management:
• Ensure plans are adjusted according to operations conditions, geological deviations, plant needs and fluctuations to reach production targets.
• Ensure the feed plan aligns with production clients and plant expectations.
• Compliance:
• Ensure that the designed plans follow mine planning and health and safety standards.
• Ensure that the design plan complies with the month plan.
• Adhere to a safe and healthy work environment where workers and contractors can deliver their outputs within a controlled risk environment.

• This role is in the Technical & Integrated Planning (T&IP) NC discipline at a 6.10 level reporting to Section Manager Operational Planning

Qualifications:

• National Diploma in Geology or Mining or Engineering (NQF6)
• B.Sc. Degree in Geology or Mining Engineering/ (B. Tech in Mining Engineering)
• SA Drivers Licence

Technical Knowledge

• 2-3 years of relevant experience in mine planning in the mining industry.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the mining production processes, including exploration, extraction, and processing techniques.
• In-depth understanding of the plant processes involved in mining production, including plant design, operation, and maintenance.
• Expertise in ore feed blend and optimisation, including selecting appropriate feed sources and managing feed quality.
