MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Operations Management, Production or Agriculture (advantageous)
• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a packhouse / production / operations role (strawberries).
• Proven experience managing teams
• Strong understanding of food safety, cold chain management, and HACCP principles
• Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills
• Computer literate (Excel and Outlook)
• Valid driver’s license

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO

• Oversee the daily operations of the packhouse, ensuring targets are achieved
• Manage and motivate employees across the packing, quality control, and dispatch functions
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and quality standards at all times.
• Manage production schedules and coordinate workflow to optimise efficiency
• Manage inventory levels and reduce waste while maintaining product freshness
• Implement and maintain systems for tracking output, labour, and performance metrics
• Work closely with logistics, procurement, and production teams to ensure on-time delivery
• Identify and drive opportunities for continuous improvement in productivity and processes.
