Pharmacy Stock Controller - Hibiscus Hospital Port Shepstone at Hibiscus Private Hospital

Main purpose of the job:

•  Sourcing, ordering, receiving and distribution of all pharmaceutical and surgical products
•  Assisting in the smooth daily running of the Hospital's Pharmacy,
•  Capturing documentation relating to stock transfers.
•  General pharmacy assistant administrative duties

Education, experience and competencies required:

• Basic Pharmacy Assistant or Post Basic Pharmacy Assistant willbe an advantage.
• Previous hospital work experience with knowledge of stock controlling
• Valid drivers license.
• Computer literacy essential and knowledge of the Clinic Management System would be an advantage
• Excellent communication skill. (Ability to speak and write English)
• Strong interpersonal, administrative, and organising skills. Can learn new tasks quickly.
• Mature personality must be able to work under pressure
• Must demonstrate interest in self-development by attending and participating in training offered by the company when required
• Be professional, punctual, and reliable.
• Be able to work as part of a team and to assist where necessary
• Willing to work flexible hours if needed. (Saturdays/ Sundays and P/Holidays on arotational basis.)

Duties and responsibilities will include, but is not limited to the following:
Pharmacy Stock Controlling:

• Ordering, unpacking, and replenishing of stock to the wards.
•  Invoicing and credit return to wholesalers.
•  Delivery of medication to wards.
•  Stock take
•  Ensure the Pharmacy is adequately stocked with all surgical and consumables.

Maintaining standards

•  Accurate Data Capturing
•  Ensure that all documentation required is correctly completed and appropriately filed and distributed
•  Application of policies for the operation within the Hospital Industry
• Ensuring adherence to all relevant statutes, statutory bodies, rules and regulations, disciplinary code, and staff employee manuals
