Pharmacy Stock Controller at Melomed Private Hospitals

Description

• Liaising with doctors with regards to specific requests and stock preferences
• Maintaining stock levels in wards
• Requesting stock codes to be loaded on Clinic Manager and the Melopharm system
• Receiving stock from the Pharmacy
• Following up on Stock from other Melomed hospitals
• Completing all requisition books and administrative work when moving stock both internally and externally.
• The issuing of stock requested on the picking slip.
• Placing of stock and charging of stock to patient accounts.
• Daily auditing of Charge sheets to ensure correct issuing and billing of items
• Perform Daily cycle counts and monthly stock counts
• Preparation of stock sheets for stock take
• Checking stock holding reports and resolving discrepancies of negative stock holding.
• Identifying and closely monitoring high value items
• Assisting Unit Managers with ordering of stock
• Submitting weekly reports to the Pharmacy Manager and the Unit Manager regarding bag system
• Clearing error reports daily and updating bar codes regularly
• Checking and signing for all good received from pharmacy

Requirements

• Grade 12 qualification
• Computer literacy is essential
• Friendly disposition
• Excellent communication skills
• Attention to detail, results orientated and well organized
