Nominating vessels to the port 14 days arrival -Open vessel file i.e., in NAVIS / IPMS
Sending daily ETA updates to the Terminal, Monitoring stack dates and vessels berthing
Ensuring all Husbandry requirements are done as per the master’s request e.g. Crew Change / CTM / Clearing of Spares etc
Ensuring vessel is kept well informed about berthing sailing program and any port limitations.
Ensuring Vessel applies for ISPS / Free Pratique 96 hours prior arrival, following up with local PSO if the vessel is ISPS cleared.
Compiling load forecast on CCSA planning system and forwarding to the relevant planning department.
Co-ordinating load plans between the lines and terminal also ensuring that all cargo is loaded and discharged as per the central planning department including DG / BBK / reefer cargo.
Frequent / daily Updates to be sent to the line managers /All relevant info pertaining to vessel needs mentioning.
Ensuring that the vessel is customs / immigrations cleared prior departure.
Sending CCSA arrival & departure reports within deadline
Compiling departure files / load list / TDR / PCR closure with required timeframe
Checking of vessels / supplier’s accounts
Checking accounts and making sure refunds are collected.
Making sure vessel port costs are kept to a minimum.
Keeping berth delays to a minimum.
Monitoring terminal ROQ, requesting the applicable departments to remove / clear cargo with the stipulated deadline i.e., free storage period.
Assisting relevant departments with day-to-day queries i.e. missing containers / amending’s / stack extensions / late arrivals
Coordinating and quoting all break bulk shipments.
Checking berthing programme on a daily basis to plan transhipment activities per vessel within 72 hours of arrival
Confirming the data between bay plan and Lara tie up
On passing the confirmed data of transhipment units onto Cargo Flow to get confirmation of allowing for on-carrier vessels
Passing of transhipment lists with the terminals
Updating of J/L (imp & esp. legs)
Obtaining haz, OOG documents and approvals
Submitting of special cargo manifest to vessel operators (internal and external)
Compile provisional load list to cargo flow department
Checking if all transhipment cargo has loaded on planned vessels i.e. transhipment confirmation

Co-ordinating ITT movements with transporters and terminals
Liaising with other CMA agencies to resolve queries / tracking issues

Sending of transhipment load plans for coastwise shipments through to imports and SSC
Co-ordinating and arranging customs / depot/ transport regarding damaged transhipment units
Monitoring short-shipped empty and full container in the terminal are planned and loaded
Skills and Qualifications
