Power-to-X Senior Engineer at EarthStream

Our client, a leading Renewable Energy Developer, is currently in the hunt for a Senior Engineer and Program Manager, focused on Power-to-X (PtX) projects. This role would be based in Cape Town.

Your Tasks

• Project development of PtX projects in South Africa
• Cooperate internally with our solar and wind development as well as international PtX team
• Address green Hydrogen/PtX production, logistics, wheeling/grid utilization, water use
• Build up relationships with suppliers and infrastructure operators
• Project planning, management and execution
• Accompany and lead external advisors and engineering companies
• Coordinate multi-partner projects in PtX solutions for domestic as well as export offtakers
• Establish an information pool for PtX-related permitting and obtain permits
• Prepare presentation material for proposals to customers or best practice examples for public presentations

Your Skills

• Your background is an engineering degree, preferably in process or chemical engineering
• Additional economic skills a significant advantage
• You have more than five years work experience in the industry of gas or chemistry
• Strong project management skills
• Experience in complex projects with several stakeholders and participants
• Self-motivated and enduring character, able to manage yourself and others, and fit into a dynamic and diverse team environment
• Motivating and able to self-organize your objectives and projects
• You can operate MS Office products and other relevant software required for the role
