Job Description

• We’re looking for a Pricing Specialist who can help us stay competitive and profitable.

Education

• Matric with Mathematical subjects
• 3-year Import or Export related qualification at NQF level 5.

Knowledge and experience

• Knowledge in the Clearing and Forwarding Industry in a controller / estimator capacity
• Experience in Air, Sea, Road and warehousing in both Import and Export required.
• INCO Terms
• Knowledge of DGR, Temp Control and High Value cargo an advantage
• Product specific freight handling & movement requirements
• Basic international trade principles
• Applicable sections of Import & Export control Act
• Geography
• Aligning in co-ordinance with Functional business objectives and strategies
• Understanding of the Rate structures applicable for Freight Forwarding
• Carrier & depot conditions of trade. Tariff calculation concepts
• National currencies and international codes
• Computer literacy (Ms Word, Excel) and Shipshape an advantage
• Negotiation skills with carriers an added advantage
• Detail oriented - Accuracy and attention to details
• Problem solving skills and decision-making skills
• Interpersonal skills
• Good communication skills (written &verbal)
• Time management – must work well under pressure
