    Process Engineer

    Job Description

    • Mentor, nurture, develop teams to own working together, modeling the Ford values, and expected behaviors.
    • Create a proactive performance driven culture that listens, reacts, and supports effective communication, education, and trust to capture the hearts and minds of the people.
    • Ensure basic administrative activities are completed, as required.
    • Close customer concerns timeously (put customers’ needs first)

    Qualifications

    • Higher National Diploma/Degree: Mechanical Engineering
    • Min 3 Years in automotive industry
    • Min 3 years in manufacturing engineering

    Responsibilities

    • Ensure compliance to the Quality Operating System.
    • Confirm proper tools are being utilized to ensure product and process quality.
    • Confirm work areas adhere to 5S standards of workplace.
    • Ensure Quality plan adherence (required measurements & daily audits)
    • Coach and support process technicians to achieve SQDCPME objectives through standardized work.
    • Daily review of dimensional data & timeous resolution of concerns.
    • Assist Work Groups as required to maintain production flow consistent with cycle time requirements.
    • Confirm Engineering tasks are completed, confirm effectiveness, and identify improvement.
    • Adhere to Time & Data Management (attendance of all mandatory meetings).
    • Constructively utilize down time to improve quality.
    • Verify and maintain process documentation (GSPAS, PFMEAs, OIS, WES).
    • Take part in VRT activities.
    • Drive the creation and coordination of work plans and ensure execution thereof.
    • Drive closure of all surface quality concerns (review QLS Data daily)
    • Fixture integrity is done as per the plan & all open items closed
    • Ensure availability of spares within area of responsibility.
