• Our client is part of a global group established in Germany in the nineteenth century and operating in Gauteng since 1959. They manufacture pumps and valves for Local Irrigation, Water Transfer and Treatment, Water Supply and Sewage, General Industry, Chemical and Petrochemical Industry, Mining and Construction markets. They are currently looking for a Process Engineering Manager at the facility in Gauteng, whose core focus will be lean manufacturing processes and operational efficiencies.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• B degree in Industrial Engineering
• 8 years' experience of which 3 years must be in a leadership role
• Demonstrable experience in process implementation and improvement, lean manufacturing and continuous improvement
• Proficiency in using process improvement tools e.g Value Stream Mapping, 5S, DMAIC, FMEA
• Project management experience using formal project management processes

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the process engineering function across the plant to drive production efficiency and process stability.
• Analyse current manufacturing processes and implement improvements to enhance quality, reduce waste, and increase throughput to meet targets
• Drive Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen methodologies and continuous improvement initiatives  
• Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies and develop strategies to improve performance and reduce cost.
• Oversee process documentation, including work instructions, process flows, and standard operating procedures.
