Procurement Coordinator - Raw Material at Mars

Job Purpose

• To procure local Raw Materials to satisfy factory demand, while meeting the businesses overall desired inventory levels and procurement strategy

What are we looking for?

• A professional Procurement coordinator with experience in an FMCG environment.
• Completed degree in Procurement, Warehousing and Distribution or related Business qualifications and/or extensive experience in procurement (stock management policies and strategies, safety stock levels, ROP, freight, supply chain, international transport, administration, laws…
• PC literate (MS Excel), WMS, and other ERP Platforms
• Good Written English and communication skills.

What will be your key responsibilities?

• Organize and schedule raw material procurement in a timely and systematic manner
• Procure to the correct levels to ensure no risk of stock out or obsolescent stock
• Procure in line with business processes and be involved in system improvements and upgrades
• Liaise with the Factory Production Planner and Factory Operations team on a daily basis
• Liaise with the Warehouse Manager on a daily basis
• Liaise with the Commercial team in order to set and manage supplier contracts procurement plans and KPI’s
• Report Raw Material non conformities to the Commercial team and follow up on actions with suppliers
• Develop and Report on Raw Material portfolio KPI’s and provide inventory analysis on Raw Material portfolio
• Analyze and react to business demand planning data
• Partake in the business’s overall S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) Process
• Partake in physical inventory counts
• Be involved in cost saving initiatives, this includes loss analyses and environmental impact
