    Product Support Specialist

    Role Purpose

    To assist the Legacy Solutions Product Management team in Cape Town as a Product Support Specialist. This role provides support to service teams on mainly complex client queries and relies on support from the actuarial product team to perform this function. The range of products that this role will provide support on encompasses old and new generation savings, universal life and conventional with profit products.

    The work you need to deliver

    • Resolve complex policy related client queries by doing policy fund rebuilds and breakdowns.
    • Assist in producing actuarial certificates.
    • Perform technical product management and maintenance tasks in support of actuarial teams
    • Produce special quotations for new and existing Metropolitan Life products
    • Test the implementation of system product changes
    • Providing support to the service areas in terms of product content.
    • Managing own performance and development.
    • Ensuring effective and consistent service delivery and support to both internal and external clients in line with the Company Values and Treating Customers Fairly Principles.

    Experience and Qualifications

    •   Matric/Grade 12 or NQF 4 equivalent with Accounting or Mathematics;
    •  At least 5 years relevant experience in the Life Insurance and Financial Services sector;
    •  Knowledge of insurance products, contracts and relevant industry legislation and industry agreements;
    • Familiarity with business workflow process tools;
    • Sound numerical skills and computer literacy is essential especially in the use of MS Excel and MS Word.
    • Skills/experience in data management and extraction would be an advantage.
