The individual in the role would be responsible for making sure all script are technically ready for broadcast and to assist the TD (Technical Director) with in/out words as well as the timing of the production by giving counts. (e.g. in/out of breaks, packages, bites...etc.)

Scripts
Checking equipment making sure running orders and scripts can be access if not report it to IT and let the TD know.
Ensuring all scripts are clean and ready for broadcast
Ensuring all supers is correct, if not report to the bulletin producer
Check in/out words on all packages and bites
Check timings on all packages and bites
Print the required script for your bulletin
Broadcasting/Production
Follow all stories in progress
Make TD aware of timings on all packages, bites, interviews and ad-breaks
Make TD aware of out-words on all packages and bites
Make sure correct supers are selected for insert on the production
Cueing the graphics titles operator when to bring up supers
Make producer aware of any late corrections that needs to be made in the scripts
Follow the correct timing for segments by adding and deducting allocated times as per rundown
Report
Give detailed error report of the day’s productions
Notify the engineers of any equipment faults
